50th Anniversary
As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ College of Nursing, I am filled with pride, gratitude, and excitement as we reflect on our journey from 1976 to 2026. For five decades, our College has been grounded in excellence, leadership, and innovation, educating nurses who not only serve our community but help shape the future of health care. From its founding vision to becoming the region’s largest producer of nurses, ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Nursing has prepared graduates who lead with skill, compassion, and a deep commitment to service.
Today, more than 60% of nurses in El ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ are ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ graduates, and over 90% of our BSN alumni remain in the region for their first professional role, strengthening health care across the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ del Norte region.

This milestone is not only a reflection on our past, but a celebration of the people who make our College what it is today, our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Throughout this anniversary year, we will offer opportunities and experiences designed to honor our shared legacy and inspire what lies ahead, resonating with all who have contributed to and continue to shape the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ College of Nursing. As we look to the future, we do so with
deep appreciation for the dedication, passion, and belief that have defined our journey for 50 years.
